The company F.LLI ROTTA s.n.c. was founded at Galbiate (Lecco) in Via E. Monti in 1956; thus the founding partners began their activity with a steel wire drawing mill, already equipped at that time with a pickling plant and patenting furnace, which were indispensable then for the production of high-carbon steel wire.
In 1968 came the first extension and transfer of the mill to the town of Pescate in via Manzoni 11, and then in 1972 it was again transferred to the present headquarters in Via Roma 15/c, which cover an area of 10,000 sq.m.
Over the years the company has always invested in new drawing plants and plants for the preparation of the rod, with particular care for the environment, building one of the first “closed cycle” pickling plants, i.e. without waste discharge, as early as the 1980s.
The market addressed by the company is the private one and is made up of companies that entrust us with the production of low-, medium- and high-carbon steel wires designed for the most common and varied uses, in particular for the production of springs and parts used in the furniture industry, in the production of mattresses and in the mechanical engineering and automotive industries. The company is well-placed on the national market and is expanding abroad.
In 2008, given the need to equip ourselves with a more complete, methodical instrument, and to ensure an efficient, correct company management contributing to the quality and reliability itself of the finished product, we obtained a Quality Management System issued by BUREAU VERITAS ITALIA SPA with ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATION N.229720 dated 03.06.2008. |
