Patented wires

Patenting steel is an advanced heat treatment that involves heating the material to around 970°C in a furnace.

Steel patenting is an advance thermal treatment that consists of heating the material to approximately 970°C in a furnace, resulting in a fine and uniform granular structure.

Afterward the wire is rapidly cooled and tempered in a lead bath, acquiring high mechanical strength and excellent ductility.

Thanks to these characteristics, patented wire is ideal for high-performance applications, especially for:

  • small-diameter wires
  • the production of springs and components subject to dynamic loads and repeated cycles
  • industrial uses that require a combination of strength, flexibility, and durability
