Pickling
Pickling is a chemical treatment for steel that removes oxides, scale, and impurities from the surface of the wire or wire rod before subsequent processes such as drawing, galvanizing, or phosphating.
During the process, the wire is immersed in controlled acid baths that eliminate unwanted surface layers without altering the material's mechanical properties. The result is a clean and uniform surface, ready for subsequent treatments, which improves the adhesion, surface finish, and durability of the finished products.

Thermal treatments includes process such as:

- Galvanizing: A protective coating against corrosion.
- Phosphating: An insoluble crystalline layer that promotes high-speed drawing and increased corrosion protection.
- Pickling: A chemical cleaning process to remove oxides and impurities before subsequent treatments

Drawing
Drawing steel wire is a fundamental cold-working process used to reduce the wire's diameter while improving its dimensional precision, strength, and surface finish. During drawing, the wire is passed through a series of calibrated dies, which progressively alter its cross-section without changing its basic mechanical properties.
This process allows for the production of wires with very precise tolerances, a smooth surface, and uniform mechanical characteristics, making them ideal for technical and industrial applications such as:
- precision spring production
- cables and protective sheaths
- reinforced high-pressure tubes
- automotive and mechanical components
Drawing can be combined with oil lubrication or surface treatments like phosphating to:
- reduce friction during passage through the dies

Testing and Quality Control
We always test the finished product to ensure it complies with customer specifications. The testing department is equipped with instruments and machines that are periodically calibrated by the manufacturers to ensure maximum precision. We provide all our customers with a batch test certificate, along with the delivery note. This includes the diameter, tensile strength, chemical composition of the steel, zinc content, and number of twists. Our rigorous testing procedure is typically conducted as follows:
- The actual diameter of the wire is measured using a micrometer, which must fall within the tolerance levels established by European standards.
- A sample of the first drawn batch is tested with tensile testing machines and subjected to controlled, increasing tension until it breaks or is permanently deformed. During the test, a graph records the elongation at the yield point and the actual breaking load.
We package our products in various ways, based on your needs.
We always pay due attention to this phase, ensuring the integrity of the yarn is maintained during transport and use by the customer. Our packaging options include skeins, reels, rolls, bobins, and spools in the required sizes and weights. Products are appropriately labeled for identification and are accompanied by a test certificate.
